Self-Pity Is Your Own Worst Enemy

Successful people believe in themselves. If you do not believe in yourself, who will? A poor-self-image is the biggest obstacle to success in life. A great way to be happy is to believe you have the ability to achieve.

Find out why you have a poor self-image and do something about it. Nobody’s going to do it for you; you have to do it yourself. Find out what you don’t like about yourself and change it. Make a list of your strengths and weaknesses and seek advice.

Self-pity is a real danger to your success. Don’t dwell on negative things in your life unless you can change them. But if you can’t, change your attitude by looking at them from different angles, and don’t let them interfere with the things you can do something about.

The greatest victory you can ever achieve in life is a victory over yourself. We tend to be our own worst enemy at times. Understand what is best for you and go after it. Know your strength and build on them. The discipline and work habits you need to succeed can only come from within.

Each victory brings renewed enthusiasm which makes you work all the harder. But when you lose, your enthusiasm is gone. You work less because you feel down. It is important to obtain even a small measure of success to maintain enthusiasm for what you desire.

Feeling discouraged is when you really need enthusiasm the most to pick you back up. It is easy to maintain enthusiasm when you’re winning, but it is crucial to maintain it when you are down. The solution is to find something else to get enthusiastic about. It’s virtually impossible to be unhappy when you are doing something you really love.

When you have people who love their job, the other people will pick up on their positive vibes. The real winners are enthusiastic all of the time and it becomes contagious.

Nothing succeeds like success. When you feel like you are a winner, guess what... you are!
